Wiener of the Week

Major tip of the beak to TheFrolickingMole at Tizona for this gem.

We're constantly badgered by the Gaia worshipers about the need to adopt (and quickly!) alternative energy sources. "What alternative sources?", you may ask. You know! Unicorn farts, hippy tears, cosmic convergence, etc.

In Australia, the Gaia worshipers were given an option called NaturalPower, where they are charged for (and, I would assume, provided) only "renewable" energy. Now, fortunately for the rest of us, they're getting a lesson in real-world economics - and they're PISSED.

Environmentalists are angry at a move by Synergy to lift “green” power prices about 35 per cent from today.

But Synergy says the change, more than a recent 23 per cent increase in standard electricity charges, reflects the higher cost of sourcing limited renewable energy supplies to satisfy increasing demand for the clean energy option.
You catch that, leftards? It costs more money to produce your precious alternative energy. And in the real world, when things cost more to produce, you are CHARGED MORE for them.

Please take the time to read what TheFrolickingMole wrote - it's practically Shakespeare for schadenfreude junkies like me.

Leftard Gaia worshipers upset about paying more for your precious "renewable" energy - you're the Wiener of the Week.
