Global Warming! Hype and hysteria met with yawns

I've noticed a trend. The more hysterical and unreasonable Big Enviro gets in hyping their warming hysteria, the more their mewlings are met with indifference by people with half a brain. Both in Britain and the US, people have collectively shrugged their shoulders in indifference.

But the hysteria? Oh my goodness, is it starting to get extreme! And funny.

This first asshat wants to put Big Oil executive in prison for high crimes against humanity! I kid you not.

James Hansen, one of the world's leading climate scientists, will today call for the chief executives of large fossil fuel companies to be put on trial for high crimes against humanity and nature, accusing them of actively spreading doubt about global warming in the same way that tobacco companies blurred the links between smoking and cancer
Think that's funny? Check this out.
On a planet 4C hotter, all we can prepare for is extinction

There's no 'adaptation' to such steep warming. We must stop pandering to special interests, and try a new, post-Kyoto strategy

We need to get prepared for four degrees of global warming, Bob Watson told the Guardian last week. At first sight this looks like wise counsel from the climate science adviser to Defra. But the idea that we could adapt to a 4C rise is absurd and dangerous. Global warming on this scale would be a catastrophe that would mean, in the immortal words that Chief Seattle probably never spoke, "the end of living and the beginning of survival" for humankind. Or perhaps the beginning of our extinction.
Meanwhile, the scientific evidence is accumulating to indicate that, in fact, we're getting colder.

Independent researchers at the University of Mexico expressed their contention that we're headed for a mini-Ice Age, and that current warming models are a fraud (excuse the poor Google translation).
An expert from the National Autonomous University of Mexico predicted that in about ten years the Earth will enter a "little ice age" which will last from 60 to 80 years and may be caused by the decrease in solar activity.

Velasco Herrera described as erroneous predictions of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), pursuant to which the planet is experiencing a gradual increase in temperature, the so-called global warming.

The models and forecasts of the IPCC "is incorrect because only are based on mathematical models and presented results at scenarios that do not include, for example, solar activity," said the specialist also in image processing and signs and prevention of natural disasters.
I want one phrase to stand out in your minds, if nothing else does. The models are incorrect because they don't include solar activity. Hmmm. I wonder what might affect Earth's temperature more? The pitiful activity of tiny humankind, or the warming and cooling patterns of the sun?

Don't buy the hype. You'll just make Al Gorebells, Richard Branson, T. Boone Pickens, Nancy Pelosi, and the other availability entrepreneurs richer.
