Wiener of the Week

This week Team Donkey is once again in the spotlight. It seems that the moonbat Left of the House is finally stepping out from the shadows into positions of leadership. This past week the House Dems voted to replace long-time Chairman of the Energy and Commerce panel John Dingell with ultra-Left Henry Waxman.

Rep. Dingell hails from Michigan, and, as such, has long been one to drag his feet on some of the more loony and extreme environmental crap dreamed up by the loony Left. It's not like he does it on principle; he's as ultra-Left as Waxman on other issues. It's just that you don't stay in office long representing Michigan if you endorse policies that harm the auto industry (like it needs any help being harmed!).

Rep. Waxman, who represents Beverly Hills, has no master to serve other than those already served by members of Team Donkey. That frees him to pimp for master Big Enviro. That makes the moonbat Left ever so happy. And when the moonbat Left is happy, American is in trouble.

So...what does the appointment of Rep. Waxman to this Chairmanship mean? Well, for starters, forget all about offshore drilling. It's not happening for the next four years. Maybe never. And expect a raft of silly legislation "mandating" use of currently non-existing alternate energy. Oh, and don't forget cap-and-trade. This insidious farce, invented by (who else?) Al Gorebells, is nothing but another onerous tax on the productive, and yet another Team Donkey-sponsored blow to American industry's ability to compete.

Good job, Dems. We're teetering on world-wide financial ruin, and you've shown yourselves as indifferent to that ruin by placing a flaming Lefty like Waxman in a position to steer our nation's energy agenda. For that, you're the recipient of the Wiener of the Week.
