For those of you who still persist in thinking that the Republicans are the "good guys", here's another heaping pile of manure that says otherwise.
Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels elicited several hushed gasps and raised eyebrows late last week as he lectured a conservative crowd that it was "time to let Ronald Reagan go."Okay, you say, he's only trying to rally support among conservatives for the completely unpalatable John McCommie, so he's got to say things like that. Yeah? Well I call BS. If the GOP really gave a rat's ass about conservatives (hint: they don't), this guy would be ex-GOP by the end of the week.
Ronald Reagan wasn't perfect, but he was infinitely better than anyone else who's come along in the past 100 years. And the high esteem in which he is held by real conservatives just infuriates the Rockefellerite establishment of the GOP. They want you to fall in lock-step behind their guy. You know, the asshat with the temper and the antipathy for the first amendment.
Sorry, won't do it. We won't get fooled again.
