While I was tempted to name my new friend Harry Anonymous as the WotW, the adventure in Texas (and coming soon: the Arizona sequel!) with the raid on the FLDS compound by police and Child Protective Services has to qualify as a clear winner.
First, there's the issue of the mystery 16-year-old girl who, though being brought up in an environment where the outside world was a great unknown and not to be trusted, knew to call a domestic abuse hot line and CPS for "help". BTW, so far as I know, mystery girl still hasn't been found. Uh-huh.
This smells like an inside job by CPS. They've been dying to "save" those girls. And now, thanks to the mystery girl, they have. Isn't that precious?
Earlier I alluded to a coming Arizona sequel. So far, the AZ police have shown more restraint than their Texas brethren, but give them time: they'll do police everywhere proud by showing up with SWAT.
So, to all involved with the Texas FLDS fiasco, you're the Wiener of the Week!
