Week 8 - worst performance yet

OMGs was that ever awful! The final score, Seahawks 34 - 49ers 13, doesn't even BEGIN to quantify the ass-whupping the Niners took on Sunday. The defense couldn't cover or tackle. And JT was a turnover machine as usual.

And yet...there is hope.

Mike Singletary showed that he won't take any crap off of the "me first" athletes on the team. He sent Vernon Davis to the showers after the asshat took a completely unnecessary personal foul after a catch. I was CISED! It's about time the Niners had a coach who will stand up to the likes of Vernon Davis. If only Singletary had been the coach when Brandon Lloyd was here! Or Terrell Owens!

There were some silver linings in this black cloud. Frank Gore played up to his usual strong level. Shawn Hill played extremely well in relief of JT the turnover machine (and was named the starter as of yesterday). On defense, Manny Lawson is starting to show the form that made him a first round pick two years ago.

Now the Niners are on a much-needed bye (meaning, so is this item). At the season's halfway mark the team is 2-6, dead last in a dreadful division. This is NOT what I expected for this year. Not at all.
