Week 6...the big one that got away

A tad late? You'd be too, if you had the week I had!

This one is the big fish that got away. Start of the 4th quarter, 26-17 lead. What could go wrong? How about everything? Final score: Philadelphia 40-26 over my lads.

This one is on the coaches, IMO. Mike Nolan (a) missed a chance to have a catch negated in the first half on a play where the receiver obviously dropped the ball when he hit the ground...of course this lead to a Philly touchdown, (b) threw the stupidest ever red flag to have a field goal reviewed (which COULD NOT BE OVERTURNED!!!!!!) and wasted our last challenge, (c) didn't have said challenge available in the 4th quarter when we needed it on a questionable non-fumble call.

Nolan is rapidly losing me. He needs to step up and start coaching like he has a clue. He particularly needs to get the defense to make some stops on 3rd down!!!

Mike Martz rediscovered Frank Gore, who had a monster game (19 carries, 101 yards, 1 TD). But again, in the 4th quarter, hanging on to a lead, Martz went all pass-wacky -- Gore saw the ball twice in the 4th quarter.

JT continues to do his best John Kitna imitation. 3 TOs (2 INT and a fumble). The last INT was a pick 6 that made the final score look worse than how the game actually played out. Don't get me wrong, I like JT. But he's WAY too cavalier with the rock. I can forgive some of the INTs, but the fumbles are getting out of hand.

Better luck today, right? We'll need it against the Giants in the swamps of New Jersey.
