Only in Columbia!

For those of you unfamiliar with Columbia, MD, let me bring you up to speed.

Columbia sprung into existence in the late 1960's, the brain child of one James Rouse. It was one of the first so-called "planned" communities. It was to be perfectly laid out, logically grouping like services in their own "zones", with residences grouped into "villages", wrapped up neatly with a bow, with a large mall as the "Town Center". Located 16 miles west of Baltimore and 30 miles northeast of Washington, it is ideally located to be a commuter suburb.

The "vision" was that Columbia would be a place where people of all races, creeds, and colors could live together in peace and harmony in a little bit of planned heaven.

Naturally, Columbia has become the home of any number of moonbats. You know of whom I speak: the granola-munching "Save the Earth"-chanting Prius-driving sanctimonious dimwit hopelessly lost in the rhetoric of the 1960's.

So when I saw this, I naturally muttered, "Only in Columbia!"

Ann Geddes doesn't want a "fair and balanced" workout. But the 49-year-old worker for a nonprofit agency is having no luck getting the channel changed in front of her favorite rowing machine at a Columbia gym.

The television happens to be tuned permanently to Fox News. Geddes, a liberal Democrat and former legislative aide to a Howard County delegate, said she can't stomach the conservative lineup that appears nightly as she gets her exercise. Even though the sound is off, the words scrolling across the bottom of the screen infuriate her.

"It makes my blood pressure go up," she said.

Befitting the democratic (with a small "d") pedigree of a planned community founded on the principle of races and classes living side by side, Geddes has taken her complaint up the chain of command, from the attendant at the gym run by the Columbia Association to the new president of the giant homeowners' group.

She's had no success. Now she's going public.

Wait. It gets better.

Bob Bellamy, the Columbia Association's director of operations, said 43,000 people use the Supreme Sports Club facility yearly, and Geddes is the only one who has complained.

"She called me up and wanted me to take Fox News off all the TVs," he said, gesturing to the six big flat-screens fixed to the main exercise room wall.

Isn't that so very typical of the reactionary Left? "I don't like it; ban it!"

Understand, I'm no fan of Fox News. Their "All Neocon, All the Time" programming has gotten quite stale IMO. But who does this lady think she is, forcing HER choice of programming on the entire gym? And why can't the stupid biatch simply move down two machines where she can sit safely in front of a TV showing comforting, Left-liberal CNN?

Thankfully, the Columbia Association isn't going along with the fruitloop fascist's pogrom.

Columbia Association officials say they won't heed Geddes' request to remove Fox from the cable lineup. In order to provide choices and eliminate squabbling among patrons, they say that every gym monitor is tuned to a particular station and can't be changed. Of the 40 large-screen televisions in the general exercise rooms in Columbia's three gyms, three are set to receive Fox.

"There is no way that we can stop showing one channel because of one person," said Phil Nelson, the president of the homeowner's group, in a written response to Geddes' request.

Thank you, Mr. Nelson! At least SOMEONE has a clue over there.

The next time someone tries to tell you how the Right Wing and Christians are trying to impose their will on you, bring this up. This is more the norm than any other political or religious group pressuring for their will to be imposed.

BTW, libertarians NEVER try to impose their will on ANYONE. Remember that the next time you vote.

Death of a pompous blowhard

While many are in mourning, and Big Media (the BM for short) is treating the passing of Walter Cronkite with a reverence usually reserved for Presidents and religious leaders, I say, "Good riddance to bad rubbish!" Vulture, please explain! Gladly.

Walter Cronkite was a self-important pompous blowhard. His signature sign off - "...and that's the way it is!" - is like nails on the chalk board to me. No, you pompous asshat, that is definitely not "the way it is". You've just presented 30 minutes (less commercials) of news hand-picked by the liberal cognoscenti at CBS News in accordance with their world view. You have NOT, in any way, shape or form, told us "the way it is".

In retirement, Walter Cronkite continued to bloviate on subjects far and wide. He always took the most liberal viewpoint, and he was always critical of those most likely to side with the actual American people versus the political cognoscenti leading us towards the eventual One-World Socialist Dystopia.

Think I'm kidding? Then check this out (in particular, watch the video -- it's an eye-opener).

Walter Cronkite was the very picture of the Upper East Side Limousine Liberal. For all of his journalistic accomplishments, he ultimately succumbed to a lethal case of hubris. He believed himself an oracle of the truth. He believed his own press clippings.

Once voted "The most trusted man in America", Walter Cronkite was, in fact, a Fifth Column traitor to America. In the video I referenced above, he voiced his opinion that, if supporting One-World Governance was to be aligned with Satan, he was "glad to sit here at the right hand of Satan." Let's hope he got his wish.

When Sarah Palin resigned as Governor of Alaska, my take was that she had done so because she needed to be a "private citizen" in order to go after the reptilian sub-humans who have hounded her relentlessly since her stellar Team Elephant convention speech last year. As a private citizen, libel laws would protect her from a lot of the more heinous invective being flung like chimpanzee feces by the chimpanzees of the Left.

I lamented in an entry I made during the Independence Day weekend that our country had devolved to the point where only reptilians could hold public office; a normal human being like Sarah Palin was NOT welcome, and now they had succeeded in driving her from office.

Or....maybe Sarah Palin is crazy like a fox. The Washington Times reports:

The former Republican vice-presidential nominee and heroine to much of the GOP's base said in an interview she views the electorate as embattled and fatigued by nonstop partisanship, and she is eager to campaign for Republicans, independents and even Democrats who share her values on limited government, strong defense and "energy independence."

Some are now speculating -- including blogs not given to political themes -- that this is her brilliant first step towards establishing herself as the leader of a new Conservative party.

That. Would. Be. A-W-E-S-O-M-E.

The only hope this country has of shedding the reptilians and returning to Constitutional principals (short of revolution) is a third party comprised of human beings. Right, wrong, or indifferent, these would be people with core values and a spine (believe me, it takes core values and a spine to be a conservative Democrat!) who would vote for what's good for the American people, not what's good for One World Socialist Utopia.

Will it happen? Stay tuned. We live in interesting times. We most certainly live in interesting times.

Wiener of the Week

This week's WotW is a no-brainer. As in, this tool has no brain.

What follows is the first two paragraphs of a "news" story by Seth Borenstein of the AP.

When Bill Clinton took office in 1993, global warming was a slow-moving environmental problem that was easy to ignore. Now it is a ticking time bomb that President-elect Barack Obama can't avoid.

Since Clinton's inauguration, summer Arctic sea ice has lost the equivalent of Alaska, California and Texas. The 10 hottest years on record have occurred since Clinton's second inauguration. Global warming is accelerating. Time is close to running out, and Obama knows it.

Did you catch the hysteria? Did you catch the "true believer" quoting of provably false statements concerning the mythical loss of sea ice, the '10 hottest years' (this year is the coldest on record in quite some time), and the 'acceleration' of warming (which, this winter at least, would be most welcome).

That a "news" reporter would spew The Religion of Global Warming doctrine as fact is deplorable. That an alleged "news" organization like the AP would publish it is criminal. How long are we to endure this asinine propaganda campaign? How friggin' long!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Big Media Priorities

The news cycle spins again. Today it's the big financial panic, a most appropriate topic that touches the lives of all of us.

But there's still space on the ABC, CBS, and CNN news sites for more Palin bashing. If you want to see the absolute worst of journalistic malpractice, check out Jake Trapper's blog, Political Punch, at ABCNews.com. Good Lord, the man might as well have an "Obama/Biden '08" banner across the top of his blog. This assclown considers it major news that Sarah Palin has a tanning bed! What a tool!

Other pressing issues burning up the news include the California state budget situation, the aftermath of Hurricane Ike, tasers, baggy pants, and the usual celebrity voyeurism.

It is what it is.

But what it ISN'T is awake. For the past 6 weeks, a massacre of horrible scope and ferocity has been taking place in India. The only reason I know anything about it is because I received a newsletter from Good News India, an orphanage ministry my church supports. The newsletter can be viewed here.

Curious as to why I had missed news of a massacre of this scope and magnitude, where Christians are being slaughtered at the hands of extremist Hindi (who even knew there WAS such a thing as an extremist Hindu?), I did a Google search to check into which news outlets had reported on the massacre and when. Only one - one - news outlet had reported on the atrocity, WorldNetDaily.com. Yeah, Ardwulf, the "white supremacist-aligned, questionably-funded, hate-mongering" WorldNetDaily.

In the mean time, the "major" news outlets had plenty of time and space to report on Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan, and oodles of time and space to report every piece of "damaging" minutia regarding Sarah Palin (Any word yet on Joe Biden's ties to MBNA? Just curious.), but not a second of time nor space to report on an atrocity fueled by religious hate. But it's just Christians being slaughtered in a faraway third-world shit hole, so who cares, right?

If it don't fit the script, it don't print.

And journalists wonder why they rank down with Congress, King George the Dim, used car salesmen, and ambulance chasers in the public's esteem.

People agree with me -- by 5 to 1!

This may shock and alarm you, but a survey shows that the American public agrees with me about something -- by a 5 to 1 margin. I know it shocks and alarms ME!

Seven out of 10 voters (69%) remain convinced that reporters try to help the candidate they want to win, and this year by a nearly five-to-one margin voters believe they are trying to help Barack Obama.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 50% of voters think most reporters are trying to help Obama win versus 11% who believe they are trying to help his Republican opponent John McCain.

When even the sheeple have figured out that the national media is in the tank for their Lord and Savior, Barack, it can only mean that Big Media (BM) has lost their ability to propagandize effectively.

It also means that their over-the-top persecution of Sarah Palin (and family!) is blowing up in their face.

They just couldn't leave well enough alone. McCommie is a thoroughly unlikeable candidate, and would have lost this Fall had BM just left it alone. But they just HAD to seal the deal. They just HAD to push, push, push for St. Obama.

Now their guy is (depending on the poll in question) either in a dead-heat with McCommie or trailing in the race. He's flailing so badly that even Michael Dukakis has to be chuckling to himself somewhere.

Reporting the news: good. Trying to influence the course of an election: bad. Americans get that. Too bad ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, and the New York Times don't.

The Sarah Palin wild card

Big Media (BM for short) is absolutely apoplectic. This is an outrage!

First, John McCommie chooses a VP candidate outside of their comfort zone. They do NOT like being surprised! They had already prepared their hatchet pieces on Tim Pawlenty, Mitt Romney, and Tom Ridge. Now, because McCommie picked this...this....this OUTSIDER!....they were going to have to actually work instead of going with their preconceptions.

It didn't take long for BM to sharpen their axes and go nuts on poor Ms. Palin and family. They called her everything but a white woman. Contrast this with the even-handed to glowing reviews of Senator Hairplugs from just one week before; he was the "everyman" because he rides Amtrak. Sarah Palin? She's a psycho abusive parent because she hunts and works outside the home! Talk about hypocrisy! The people who brought us "women who don't work don't count" are now decrying a woman who works!

Oh, and let's not forget the pregnant 17-year-old daughter -- surely this is obvious proof that teaching abstinence doesn't work! (Thank God the girl isn't FLDS! She'd be forcibly ripped from her home by Stoßtruppen in armored vehicles armed with assault weapons).

It's been considerably quieter on the BM front concerning Ms. Palin today. Why? Maybe her speech yesterday has something to do with it. Now, I didn't actually see the speech; there's no way I stay up that late for anything but a 49ers game. But I read the complete speech, and I've gotta say -- she rocked it.

So now what? Is she enough to overcome McCommie's inherent unlikeability? Can she topple the Team Donkey center of gravity, Obama the mega-talented orator? Is she enough of a factor for Team Elephant to convince Americans to put the King George the Dim years behind them?

We shall see.

All I know is that they could have nominated Jesus Himself as McCommie's VP candidate and I still wouldn't vote for that tool. Sorry, Sarah!

It's not an election, it's a coronation

Forget the polls. They're a load of dung. The choice has already been made for us. Don't take my word for it -- see what the fawning media have to say about it themselves.

The 5:20 TBA turned out to be his adoration session with lawmakers in the Cannon Caucus Room, where even committee chairmen arrived early, as if for the State of the Union. Capitol Police cleared the halls -- just as they do for the actual president. The Secret Service hustled him in through a side door -- just as they do for the actual president.

Inside, according to a witness, he told the House members, "This is the moment . . . that the world is waiting for," adding: "I have become a symbol of the possibility of America returning to our best traditions."

As he marches toward Inauguration Day (Election Day is but a milestone on that path), Obama's biggest challenger may not be Republican John McCain but rather his own hubris.

Some say the supremely confident Obama -- nearly 100 days from the election, he pronounces that "the odds of us winning are very good" -- has become a president-in-waiting. But in truth, he doesn't need to wait: He has already amassed the trappings of the office, without those pesky decisions.

And why shouldn't Mr. {don't say his middle name or you're a racist} feel like he's already the president? Who wouldn't with this crowd of sycophants following you everywhere you go?

Obama, who appeared tired in his first major appearance since returning Saturday from a 10-day trip abroad, met with a receptive audience at the Chicago convention. Some journalists had waited three hours for the 40-minute appearance.

The group had expected Obama and Sen. John McCain to speak on Thursday night, but because of scheduling conflicts, only Obama could attend yesterday morning's talk.

When Obama walked on stage at the McCormick Center, many journalists in the audience leapt to their feet and applauded enthusiastically after being told not to do so. During a two-minute break halfway through the event, which was broadcast live on CNN, journalists ran to the stage to snap photos of Obama. (emphasis mine)

OMG. No mention of knee pads, so I guess the media stopped just short of Monica Lewinsky, though I wouldn't have put it past any of them.

Sure, there's still plenty of time for Mr. {} to take a misstep and fall on his face. Remember Michael Dukakis. But as long as he plays it straight and doesn't make any egregious gaffes, he's a shoe-in for Supreme Ruler of the American Empire.

Joseph Goebbels would be proud

Many times I shake my head and wonder why it is that the sheeple are so caught up in all of the phony climate change hype. I mean, anyone with half a brain who's done half an hour's research into the subject knows the score: 2,000 hysterical scientists and Al Gorebells vs. 32,000 scientists (and common sense). But when you have so-called reputable news outlets like Agence France-Presse printing crap like this, people without the time and inclination to explore further can be easily misled.

The dangerous rise in greenhouse gases in the atmosphere may be troubling scientists and world leaders but it could prove to be a boon for plants, German researchers said Tuesday.

Let's parse this together, shall we?

"The dangerous rise" isn't meant to inform, or even to evoke an understanding of previously-presented information. Those word are designed to propagandize. Period.

"troubling scientists and world leaders" is misinformation at its finest. The aforementioned scorecard shows scientists on board with climate change hysteria outnumbered by "doubters" by a 16-to-1 ratio. "world leaders"? Outside of a few Western nations looking for a way to leverage the hysteria into increased taxes (and as a way to damage the USA), there are none. And, no, Al Gorebells doesn't count! He's simply an availability entrepreneur looking to get rich(er) by selling carbon credit schemes.

So, even though the gist of the article is positive news (an increase in carbon dioxide is good for plant growth, a real "no shit?" notion to anyone who understands the concept of plants "breathing" carbon dioxide), the writer just had to get their propaganda into the story, and right there in the first sentence. His editors apparently saw nothing wrong with that, even though "news" stories should, by the rules of "fairness", never contain knee-jerk phrases of that sort. AFP isn't censuring the writer in any way, so they obviously see nothing wrong with it.

As long as the propaganda machine is humming along unobstructed by reason, the sheeple won't question. There could be 1 million scientists screaming from the rooftops that global warming is a con - it wouldn't matter. The sheeple will follow the information they get most often, and these days, that information is pro-Gorebells.

Wiener of the Week

This week's WotW is the herd media. And what is their offense? They are guilty of an egregious double standard when it comes to politician gaffes.

Remember Dan Quayle's "potatoes" incident? Who can forget? It was wall-to-wall media excoriation. Now, no one is going to argue that Dan Quayle is smarter than a bag of hammers (I put my money on the bag). But the herd media has been unforgivably silent regarding the gaffes of another mental midget -- presidential candidate Barack {don't say his middle name or you're a racist} Obama. Thankfully, individual columnists (like Lynn Sweet of the Chicago Sun-Times) have been more vigilant in reporting the extent of Mr. {}'s stupidity. But -- and this is an important but -- where is the "potatoe"-like coverage of these gaffes? Mr. Quayle made one memorable gaffe. And Mr. Obama? Here is a sampling of some of his doozies (edited for space - see the linked article for the whole text).

• Claimed that tornadoes in Kansas killed a whopping 10,000 people: "In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died — an entire town destroyed." The actual death toll: 12.


• Redrew the map of the United States: "I've now been in 57 states? I think one left to go."


• Botched basic geography: "Sen. Clinton, I think, is much better known, coming from a nearby state of Arkansas. So it's not surprising that she would have an advantage in some of those states in the middle." On what map is Arkansas closer to Kentucky than Illinois?


• Claimed his parents united as a direct result of the civil rights movement: "There was something stirring across the country because of what happened in Selma, Ala., because some folks are willing to march across a bridge. So they got together and Barack Obama Jr. was born." Obama was born in 1961. The Selma march took place in 1965.


• Showed lack of knowledge of the war in Afghanistan by homing in on a lack of translators: "We only have a certain number of them, and if they are all in Iraq, then it's harder for us to use them in Afghanistan." The real reason it's "harder for us to use them" in Afghanistan: Iraqis speak Arabic or Kurdish. The Afghanis speak Pashtu, Farsi or other non-Arabic languages.
  

And WHY exactly does the herd media ignore or gloss over these gaffes? Because they're in the tank for {}, that's why. At least Chris Matthews (who practically gets a chub at the mention of {}'s name) is up front about it. The rest of them...well, judge for yourself by what is and isn't reported.

Congratulations, herd media - you're the Wiener of the Week.

Your property? I don't think so!

For all of you out there who still think that Americans are a free people, try this one on for size.

Commissioners in Martin County have unanimously passed an ordinance allowing county employees to go onto private property without permission to kill Africanized bees and treat areas where mosquitoes are breeding.

Yeah, that sounds like freedom to me -- government cronies waltzing onto your property and spraying chemicals without so much as a how-de-do.

More disturbing than the fact that Martin County seems to think that private property rights don't pertain to them is the fact that the zombie reporter from Local6.com seems to imply by his or her indifference that it's perfectly okay for them to do so. Whatever happened to The Press as the Protector of the Little Guy? Oh, I forgot -- the new role of The Press is to protect big government.

I am sure everyone has heard the rantings of Obama's Rev. Wright. I realize that ass is free to say what he wants and does practice it everyday with his anti-white, anti-American, hell, anti-everything except blacks - oh except black Uncle Toms. I am glad he clarified that this is the United States of the KKK.

So with all this, Barack is saying his religion should not matter??? Did not Mitt get taken to task for his? Is that because he is white?

Rev. Wright is the exact type of idiot that keeps the black people down. Right where the Dems want them. I am not as infuriated by the Rev's comments as I am surprised by his stupidity.

Funny you should mention the Right Reverend Wright. I was just formulating what I was going to say on that very subject.

Mitt Romney had his feet held to the fire by the media for his Mormon faith and that church's history of "racism" for not permitting Blacks to hold the priesthood until 1978. Yet this same hypocritical media has ignored the Reverend Wright's connection to Barack {don't say his middle name or you're a racist} Obama since October! I'm personally sick and tired of Black racism being ignored. Racism is racism, whether it's the Klan, or an America-hating preacher on Chicago's South Side. My opinion is that Obama HAS TO share in the beliefs of the Reverend or he would have left that church and repudiated the Reverend's teachings long ago.

Now......the question becomes......who among the Politically Correct media will step forward and call him out on it?

Biased? Not us!

Yesterday was cardio day, which meant 30+ minutes on the treadmill (5K run -- about 26 minutes -- plus a 7 minute "cool down") and, after a short break to use the can and stretch my calves, 50 minutes on the glider (45 minutes @ a 144 BPM heart rate plus "cool down"). Cardio day means I have a lot of time to stare at the TVs. And yesterday there was plenty to stare at.

CNN was all afire with the shocking, SHOCKING, news that Eliot Spitzer was arrested as part of a prostitution sting. They went on and on. Now, as you may well know, Mr. Spitzer is the governor of New York, so the coverage was certainly merited. And, given that ESPN was showing some of their manufactured crap (one of their "reporters arguing" shows) on one of the other channel offerings, and some crap targeted at an audience of hausfraus was on the other, CNN was the place to be.

Here's my beef. I watched for a good 45 minutes before Mr. Spitzer's party affiliation was ever mentioned, and even then it seemed inadvertent. What was said was this (and I'm paraphrasing because I don't have a transcript and my memory isn't what it used to be).

Mr. Spitzer is the governor of New York. Not only that, but he's also a Super Delegate to the Democratic Convention coming up this Summer.

Thank goodness he's a Super Delegate, or I might never have found which political party he belongs to! *** sarcasm alert ***

Truth is, I knew he was a Democrat 2 minutes in when those two minutes passed without any mention of party affiliation.

As someone who receives the email edition of the Media Resource Center newsletter, I could have told you it would be that way. Just like I knew that the Larry Craig story would be, "REPUBLICAN Senator Larry Craig of the predominantly REPUBLICAN state of Idaho was caught {blah blah blah}. For more on this REPUBLICAN scandal, we go to reporter.........". C'mon people! At least TRY to appear non-partisan, would you?

Okay, now that I've applied the brickbats to CNN, I have bouquets for CNN's little brother network, CNN Headline News. If you haven't been watching Headline News lately, you need to. Headline News has quietly become the "balanced" network; you know, what Fox News claims to be but isn't. It started quietly when they brought on Nancy Grace. She's not openly political, but you can tell by her no-nonsense law-and-order stance that she's certainly right-leaning. Then Headline News brought on Glenn Beck, whose decidedly right-of-center viewpoints are a pleasant contrast to other opinion shows. Soon anchorman Mike Gallegos was given his own show, the theme of which seems to be personal liberty and individual responsibility; you know, that stuff that Libertarians believe in. Wow! CNN...the Clinton News Network...allows this to happen on their watch?

Occasionally the Vulture is pleasantly surprised. Headline News' transformation is one of those pleasant surprises.

As one would expect, the NewsBusters blog is all over this.

Incredibly, in lead stories Monday night about New York Governor Eliot Spitzer being linked to a prostitution ring, neither ABC's World News nor the NBC Nightly News verbally identified Spitzer's political party. Must mean he's a liberal Democrat -- and he is. CBS anchor Katie Couric, however, managed to squeeze in a mention of his party. Last August when news of Larry Craig's arrest broke, both ABC and NBC stressed his GOP affiliation.

Wiener of the Week

This week's honoree is none other than Barack {don't say his middle name or you're a racist} Obama. And what a week it's been for him! He went from mopping the floor with the Hildebeast and being the media's darling to losing two large states to the The Dark Queen and finding himself increasingly scrutinized by a media embarrassed by having the likes of Saturday Night Live mock them for their swooning man-crush coverage of his run.

His campaign is starting to be plagued by gaffes. There was the unfortunate (but accurate) characterization of Her Royal Evilness as "a monster" by a campaign staffer. Then the campaign had the audacity to whine that the 666 campaign is being "held to a different standard" (read: lesser standard) than theirs. Puh-lease! The way the media has fawned over B{}O!

Oh sure, you say, he's back: he won Wyoming yesterday. Oooooh! You mean Wyoming and its, what, 2 delegates? Correction: Obama won 7 delegates Saturday. But since it's not a winner-take-all state, the Chupacabras also took 5 delegates. Whoopty do!

Global Warming news

I was quite heartened to hear about the International Conference on Climate Change which took place in New York this week. A number of prominent scientists and individuals with specialized knowledge on the subject matter convened to discuss the issue. But this was not the "consensus" of which Plantary Savior Al Goebbels speaks. Rather these prominent individuals are about exposing man-made global warming as the Big Lie that it is.

The event was put together by the Heartland Institute, a pro-private sector solutions group. Yeah, I can hear it now -- these guys are pro-BUSINESS, so of COURSE they're going to try to refute global warming. Yeah, well just because someone's in business doesn't mean that they're against Al Goebbels' crusade.

Take NBC's "Green Week". What a huge promotion! Wow! And they're...a business...a business owned by General Electric. So? says you. So General Electric stands to make a ton of money selling it's "green" products if Goebbels has his way. No conflict of interest seen in THEIR stance, since they're PRO-green. It's only a conflict of interest if a business or business group is standing up to the myth of man-made global warming. See how the fuzzy liberal mind works?

I don't watch the nightly news, so I have no idea how the networks presented news on this conference, if they presented anything at all. My suspicion is that they probably ignored it. They tend to ignore things that don't conform to "the script". If you are one of the decreasing number of people who actually watch that crap, let me know what they have said (if anything).

Following the global warming theme, this is another story that reflects something I've been predicting since January 6th. Read for yourself.

The recent cold wave sweeping across Mumbai and other parts of India could be attributed to global warming, experts said on Tuesday here at an environmental conference.

Just as I predicted. If it's hot -- global warming. If it's cold -- global warming. If there are floods -- global warming. If there is drought -- global warming. It's science, so it must be true.

The sad part is the number of asshats falling for this tripe. Sad indeed.

Yeah, not surprised he hadn't heard about it. It's not part of "the script", so it gets ignored by Big Media and only gets picked up by WND and other more independent sources.

Wiener of the Month

It's time to name February's Wiener of the Month award winner. And who could be more deserving than the New York Times? The Old Gray Lady's cheap shot at John McCommie -- while delightfully amusing to the Vulture, considering the way that McCommie has pretty much treated the Times as his lone constituency for the past 10 years -- marks the low ebb in the continued decline of the Times from The Paper of Record to Pravda of New York.

The McCommie story was little more than rumor, innuendo, and 20-year-old Abscam allegations. This is the kind of stuff that the National Enquirer prints, for crying out loud! The Times deserves all of the derision and criticism it has been subjected to and will continue to be subjected to for this and other similar non-stories (Martha Burk, anyone?).

For becoming little more than a propaganda organ for the Left, the New York Times is my Wiener of the Month.

Wiener of the Week

This week's Wiener is the Washington Post for their roll in the John McCain character assassination piece.

Hold on, Vulture, that story (if you can call a rumor-laden hit job a "story") was broken by the New York Times. Right. And who, within hours of the news of the Times story breaking, was right behind them with a "The New York Times today reports...." me-too! me too! me too! report?

Ah, but it gets better.

NEW YORK The Washington Post, which published its own story about Sen. John McCain's questionable ties to a Washington lobbyist just hours after The New York Times broke the story, was unable to finish its work on the story until the Times broke the news, according to Executive Editor Leonard Downie Jr.

"We had elements of the story in story form," Downie told E&P Thursday. "When the Times story appeared on their Web site last night, we were able to talk to sources who gave us further information that made it able to be published today. There were people who talked to us last night in ways that made us able to finish our story after the Times story went up."

What "elements" could you POSSIBLY have been missing? The spelling of "Iseman"? I mean, the "story" was nothing but 9-year-old rumor and innuendo, with some 20-year-old "Keating 5" thrown in for good measure. Are we disingenuous much, Mr. Downie?

This isn't the paper of Woodward and Bernstein any more. This is a poodle, carrying water for the Big Dog, the NYT.

DW isn't happy with the coverage

The plague of media jackals swarming to cover the McCain scandal has irritated DW.

I am outraged with the reporting of the New York Times piece on McCain. This is another example of Democratic Bias reporting and smear campaign. I don't know if the allegations are true. That is not my point here. My point is the way the media brain washes and the other news agencies jump on it. The way CNN is treating it is sickening. I despise the plastic-headed Barbie with her horse face and bleached hair salivating over this like it was the second coming. You want a third party Vulture? So do I and the first step is to silence the rotten one-sided idiots who lead some of us around by the nads. WAKE UP PEOPLE, you may be the next smear job.

The Vulture can only shrug. They don't call it the Clinton News Network for nothing.

That said, silencing the media is most definitely NOT a Libertarian position. I don't care if the media has biases, as long as they're HONEST about it. Hell, there's no one more biased than ME. But I think the credibility of the NYT and CNN suffers immeasurably from their laughable insistence on declaring themselves "non-partisan". It rings as hollow as a prostitute claiming to be a virgin.

McCain's chickens come home to roost

They say that when you lie down with dogs you shouldn't be surprised when you come away with fleas. John McCain lay down with crocodiles...and now it's bit him in the ass.

Hints of a campaign scandal involving Sen. John McCain and a female telecom lobbyist broke into the open today, with the New York Times running a front-page story that features unnamed McCain aides' suspicions of a romantic relationship between the Senator and Vicki Iseman. Some details of the story reports of an improper relationship between McCain and a lobbyist had appeared on the Drudge Report earlier in the primary season. The NYT story says that in 2000, "waves of anxiety swept through" McCain's "small circle of advisers" because "a female lobbyist had been turning up with him at fund-raisers, visiting his offices and accompanying him on a client's corporate jet. Convinced the relationship had become romantic, some of his top advisers intervened to protect the candidate from himself - instructing staff members to block the woman's access, privately warning her away and repeatedly confronting him, several people involved in the campaign said on the condition of anonymity." After media reports that McCain "had written letters to government regulators on behalf of the lobbyist's client, the former campaign associates said, some aides feared for a time that attention would fall on her involvement." McCain, 71, "and the lobbyist, Vicki Iseman, 40, both say they never had a romantic relationship. But to his advisers, even the appearance of a close bond with a lobbyist whose clients often had business before the Senate committee Mr. McCain led threatened the story of redemption and rectitude that defined his political identity."

For the past eight years McCommie has been the NYT's house RINO, their cute little "Maverick". He's the guy they could point to and say, "this is how Republicans SHOULD be". They loved him, and he loved them back -- saying what they wanted to hear, doing what they would want him to do, supporting Liberal issues/opposing Conservative issues, doing whatever it took to get that positive press from the Times (whose opinions, of course, trickle down through every newspaper in the country that fancies itself a Times wanna-be).

How's that working out for you now, John?

Conservatives and Libertarians can't stand you. Okay, that's too polite. We L-O-A-T-H-E you for your phony-baloney populist persona, for McCommie/Finegold, for the McCommie/Kennedy "scamnasty", for opposing tax cuts, for your sanctimony, etc, etc, etc. But you didn't need us. "Ha!", said you, "I have the Moderates, Independents, and my friends at the New York Times. Look! They even ENDORSED me! They love me! They really love me! I don't need no stinkin' Conservatives!"

Again, how's that working out for you now, Johnny boy? You're cooked, pal.

Note the funny timing of the revelation. Facts dating back to 1999, and already reported, albeit at a 30,000 foot level, by Drudge W-A-A-A-A-Y back in December, suddenly come to light in The Paper of Record once America's own little Pravda has determined that McCommie has the Team Elephant nomination sewed up. Naturally the Washington ComPost and every other commie newsrag in the country is all over it as well. I assume those news outlets have Internet access in their newsrooms and can get to The Drudge Report -- why weren't they on this sooner? Oh, wait! I get it. They had to wait for their cue from "The Big Dog".

I have no sympathy for McCommie nor for Team Elephant. You both got what you deserved.

DW loves the election coverage

DW's a CNN fan -- NOT!

You know I just love CNN especially the hack Blitzer!! I did watch the coverage of the failure-aries the other night. It was interrupting American Idol eliminations. My finger got sore jumping from channel to channel. The drama was about the same. I found it very pathetic that not one interview with Ron Paul was given, his name is never brought up. I have not yet been allowed to vote in AZ but I am going to register as an independent. Maybe someday that party will become organized.

Who names their kid Wolf anyway? Now Vulture...........
